What is LACTOGEN PRO?
LACTOGEN PRO is a range of infant formula and follow-up formula available in multiple stages (Stage 1, 2, 3, and 4), each designed to meet the age-specific nutritional requirements of infants.
- Stage 1: Infant Formula for infants up to 6 months
- Stage 2: Follow-up Formula after 6 and up to 12 months
- Stage 3: Follow-up Formula after 12 and up to 18 months
- Stage 4: Follow-up Formula after 18 and up to 24 months

Does LACTOGEN PRO contain sugar? What are the Total and Added sugars mentioned on the pack?
There is no refined sugar or table sugar or added sucrose in LACTOGEN PRO. All stages of LACTOGEN PRO contain lactose as the predominant carbohydrate in the recipe.
Lactose is also known as milk sugar. Lactose is the preferred carbohydrate source of infant nutrition as per the latest Regulations from FSSAI (FSS, Foods for Infant Nutrition Regulation, 2020).
Added Sugars: This includes ingredients such as Lactose which are added to the recipe of LACTOGEN PRO as per Regulations.
Total Sugars: It includes both lactose that is added in the recipe and small amounts of lactose that naturally come from milk and other milk-based ingredients in the recipe.
Does LACTOGEN PRO contain Palm Oil?
No, LACTOGEN PRO does not contain Palm Oil. Palm Oil is not present in any stage of LACTOGEN PRO (Stage 1 to 4).
Does LACTOGEN PRO contain milk?
Yes, all stages of LACTOGEN PRO are milk-based formula. Milk is used as a raw material in our recipes.
I have heard probiotics are temperature sensitive. Is the probiotic in LACTOGEN PRO viable at the temperature in which feed is eventually prepared?
Yes, probiotics are sensitive to high temperatures. This is why the preparation instructions advise cooling boiled water to body temperature before adding the formula powder. This helps maintain the number of living cultures of probiotic L. reuteri in LACTOGEN PRO.

What is the right way to store LACTOGEN PRO?
On opening, transfer the contents of the pack along with the pouch into a clean, airtight container. After each use, replace the lid of the container tightly and store it in a cool, dry and hygienic place.
Ensure that the scoop that comes inside the pack is washed and thoroughly dried before use.

How to prepare a feed of LACTOGEN PRO?
- Wash your hands carefully
- Boil bottle, bowl and spoon
- Boil drinking water and allow it to cool
- Consult the feeding table (on the back of the purchased pack) and pour the exact amount of previously boiled water into bottle. Please look for the ‘ml’ markings on bottle to know the exact amount of water needed
- Consult the feeding table and add the exact number of levelled scoops for the age of baby. Shake the bottle well to dissolve powder
- Feed baby with bowl and spoon. Discard leftover feed.

Is it necessary to follow the exact instructions in the Feeding table?
Yes, it is very important to follow the recommended instructions on the feeding table on feed size and the number of feeds, because it provides your baby with the required nutrition.
Careful and hygienic preparation of infant formula is most essential for health. Do not use fewer scoops than directed since diluted feeding will not provide adequate nutrients needed by your infant. How long can I store leftover prepared formula?
Formula should be consumed immediately after preparation. Do not store or reuse leftover feed to avoid the risk of infection.
For how long can I use the contents of LACTOGEN PRO after opening?
After opening, use the contents within 3 weeks or the ‘use by’ date, whichever is earlier.
Do I need to use the scoop inside the pack? Can I wash it after use?
Yes. Always use the scoop provided inside the pack. Yes, you can wash the scoop after use. Ensure its thoroughly cleaned and dried before reuse.

Does LACTOGEN PRO make a baby fat?
LACTOGEN PRO is formula milk that contains protein, carbohydrates (mainly lactose), fats, vitamins, and minerals, providing age-appropriate nutrition. Using LACTOGEN PRO according to the recommended feeding guidelines will help to provide your baby with age-appropriate nutrition. Its nutrients support normal physical growth and development of the baby.

Is LACTOGEN PRO 1 appropriate for a baby who is 7 months old?
LACTOGEN PRO 1 is an infant formula specifically formulated for infants aged 0 to 6 months.
For a 7 month old, LACTOGEN PRO 2 would be appropriate. LACTOGEN PRO 2 is a follow up formula with probiotic L. reuteri, designed to meet the nutritional needs of infants 6-12 months old.
