What is Infant Formula?
Infant Formula or formula milk is a scientifically formulated milk made specially for infants. This is specifically made as per the age of the infants to provide them with all the nutrients (e.g. proteins, fats, vitamins & minerals) they need for growth and development. It is the only suitable option (esp. in<6 months) recognized by World Health Organisation (WHO) for babies whose mothers are unable, or choose not, to exclusively breastfeed.
At Nestlé, we support exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of life; followed by the introduction of adequate nutritious complementary foods along with sustained breastfeeding up to two years of age or beyond.
